Product Overview
The New Side-Mounted Narrow High-Voltage Vacuum Load Break Switch is engineered for 50Hz, 10kV AC power networks, designed to interrupt load currents and make short-circuit currents. When equipped with fuses, it can directly interrupt short-circuit currents, making it an ideal protective device for distribution transformers.
This switch is particularly suited for use in new 500mm-wide ring main units (RMUs) and box-type substations, where its compact design and ability for frequent operation deliver exceptional value in space-constrained environments.
Key Features & Benefits
3-Position Vacuum Load Break Switch:This switch integrates three core functions: load switching, isolation, and earthing. It features a visible isolation break, significantly enhancing operational safety for maintenance personnel.
Reliable Vacuum Interruption Technology
- The vacuum interrupter is responsible for making and breaking the circuit.
- It operates in a mechanically linked sequence with the isolation blade: the vacuum interrupter opens first, followed immediately by the isolation blade.
- This design ensures the vacuum interrupter only handles transient recovery voltage during opening, while the isolation break takes over power-frequency and impulse voltages after opening.
Efficient Operating Mechanism
When the handle of the open switch is rotated counter-clockwise:
- It drives the isolation blade toward closing and charges the closing spring.
- Once the isolation blade is fully closed, the charged closing spring triggers the vacuum interrupter to close rapidly.
- This ensures a smooth and reliable closing operation.
