The ROCKWILL AutoLink Sectionalizer serves as a dedicated isolating component designed to automatically disconnect faulty segments of overhead power networks in the event of a permanent fault. In cases of temporary faults, the AutoLink sectionalizer enables upstream reclosers or breakers to resolve the issue without disrupting the entire circuit. Available in both electronic and wireless configurations, the AutoLink family is engineered to enhance power supply reliability and ensure uninterrupted service continuity for overhead distribution systems.
Product Overview
Designed for three-phase AC power systems operating at 50Hz with a rated voltage range of 10-40.5kV, the AutoLink sectionalizer is installed on overhead distribution lines to isolate faults when paired with reclosers or circuit breakers. When a fault occurs on the line and the fault current meets or exceeds the preset threshold, the sectionalizer records the number of tripping operations performed by the upstream recloser. Once this count reaches the preconfigured limit, the sectionalizer automatically trips to disconnect the faulty segment.
The AutoLink sectionalizer will initiate an automatic trip only when all three of the following conditions are met simultaneously:
If any of these conditions are not satisfied, the sectionalizer will not trigger an automatic trip. Equipped with a microcomputer and an integrated operating trip mechanism, this device operates without the need for external auxiliary power, ensuring reliable performance even in remote or inaccessible installation locations.
